It is a week unit based on the medical and legal facts regarding teen sexual activity and stresses abstinence as the healthiest choice for teens.

The curriculum will be available at our school campus for you to preview or you can visit:

Family Impact Nights

In Giddings ISD, the theme for the 2017-2018 school year is "Make an Impact," and it will begin with the goal of encouraging families to foster, re-establish, or even strengthen relationships in the household. Therefore, with this mission in mind, the school will set aside one night per month in which all students in every grade level will not be assigned homework.

It is the hope that this small change in Giddings' homework procedures will at least bring families back together during the busy week so parents can feel as though they have more time to positively impact their children. Parents, after all, provide the greatest education to their children in nearly all of the important areas of life. Providing some quality time for parents to do just that, is a top priority of Giddings ISD. Therefore, the 3rd Wednesday of each month, beginning in October, will be "Family Impact Nights" for our school district. The district will have suggestions for families posted on the website and district Facebook page.
